A one-of-a-kind ranch owned by Austin, Texas-based entrepreneur/free speech and privacy advocate Dave Glassco has hit the market in Malibu for a cool $19 million. The CEO of Neone — a social media platform that touts safe sharing of posts — picked up the place in late 2021 for $5.5 million.

Resting in the bucolic Bonsall Canyon area, less than a mile from Zuma Beach, the property includes a main residence and several other structures spread across two adjoining parcels totaling nearly 10 acres, plus orchards and a pair of greenhouses — all primed for redevelopment as a large gathering space, secluded estate or equestrian property, per the listing.

Described as a “regenerative farm and ranch estate,” the oak- and sycamore-studded grounds are highlighted by a newly renovated, single-story home sited on 6 acres. Offering just over 1,700 square feet of open-concept living space, it comes complete with two bedrooms and two baths, along with hardwood floors and wood-beam ceilings throughout.

According to an older listing, the house also features a combination living/dining room area boasting a stone fireplace and walls of glass that open to a deck ideal for al fresco entertaining. There’s also a kitchen with built-ins and spacious master bedroom sporting glass sliders leading out to a wraparound deck, as well as a two-car garage.

An additional 4-acre parcel has housed the family-owned and operated Zuma Orchids since the 1970s. All together, the expansive property boasts two entrances accessed via a lengthy gated driveway and a separate service entrance.

Elsewhere on the land is a detached guesthouse with an updated bath and restored wood plank siding throughout, which is currently being used as an office.

Additional buildings include the aforementioned greenhouses specifically geared toward cultivating orchids, an artist studio, livestock corrals, a tool shed, shipping-container storage, and hay and feed sheds. The orchards, meanwhile, produce everything from avocados and macadamia nuts to pomegranates and oranges.

Chris Cortazzo and Kevin Augunas of Compass serve as the listing agents.
