"For someone like me who's a mom, I buy a lot of random things at any given moment of the day on Amazon," Hilary Duff shares with House Beautiful. But this year, the How I Met Your Father actress is becoming more strategic with her purchases by getting her cart ready for Amazon Prime Day 2022 (which is scheduled for July 12 and 13), and luckily, she let us in on everything she's buying during the highly anticipated shopping extravaganza. This way, we can all get in on the action!

While we're fans of the upcoming bedding and vacuum deals, Duff is focusing on family-friendly purchases that help her throughout the day as a mom of three. From eco-friendly, collapsible containers she uses for on-the-go lunches to relaxing Diptyque candle classics readers can snag for less on the site, the star is delivering best-sellers you definitely shouldn't miss out on.

Additionally, the majority of her must-buys are courtesy of small businesses, including Fly By Jing's hot sauce—which Duff puts on ice cream (yes, you read that right)—a Livity cork yoga mat, and the list goes on. "It’s really amazing that Amazon supports small businesses and spotlights them in ways they wouldn't normally have," she adds. Go on, check out all the items currently sitting in her queue and make sure you place orders of your own on Prime Day!

This reusable bowl earns Duff's stamp of approval for being eco-friendly and super practical. "It’s made with the environment in mind," she says. "The brand is on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic cups and they fold up so small, you can throw them in your bag. They’re making bowls and that’s great for packing lunches or if you meal prep and you take your lunch with you to work. They have all kinds of cool products."

Of course, now that it's summer a massive slip and slide is a must for her squad, and considering all the markdowns, you'll find one in no time. There's no doubt kids and adults alike will enjoy it!

When it's time for her to unwind, aromatherapy with a Diptyque candle is Duff's go-to. "I loved Baies 10 years ago and I'm circling back to it now," she mentions.

For beach days, Duff is eyeing a pretty, white tent for her daughter Mae. It's an adorable buy that'll elevate your future seaside setups.

Hot sauce on ice cream may sound like an unlikely combo, but Duff and her family love it. "I would say FLYBYJING is one of my favorite products I’ve discovered on Amazon," she reveals. "I wouldn’t typically think to shop for sauces and stuff or food items on Amazon but it’s truly blowing my mind and I love it. You just put it on top of everything including ice cream and it's a totally unexpected thing that works."

For anyone who can't get enough of their backyard, grab Citronella candles immediately. "The bugs love my daughter Banks and lighting a Citronella candle outside is extremely helpful," Duff confirms.

"I’m obsessed with this body butter, it’s super moisturizing," says Duff. "I live in California so sometimes I feel like a lizard here. It doesn’t matter how much water I drink, it’s so dry all the time that I’ve really found the body butter to work great."

Duff's dogs are her other priorities on Prime Day and this healing balm should be on every pet owner's list. Like the former Disney Channel star, I use it on my dogs' noses and paws so they don't dry up and make them uncomfortable.

When it comes to her kids, she'll scoop up anything that helps them put their sunscreen on. "I just bought this cool sunscreen thing—it's like a giant sunscreen roller ball," she explains. "Kids are basically allergic to applying sunscreen or having you apply sunscreen for them, so this makes it super easy."

For her preferred sunscreen brand? Duff is team Sun Bum.

Now that her son Luca is getting older (he's 10 now!), Duff wants to get him his own Alexa for his room. It's an affordable way to incorporate technology into a kid's room.

Additionally, Duff has some top-notch soap for Luca in her cart. "He's getting pretty funky these days, so I have to get him Dr. Bronner's," she continues with a laugh.

Finally, to make sure she and her husband stay healthy, Duff kicks off her day with these energy tablets. "Every morning, when we have our coffee, we toss them at each other and say, 'alright let’s do this,'" she emphasizes. "When one gets sick, we all go down, so it's important for us to load up on vitamins and stuff. It's one of my newest purchases."
